Where Have I Been And Where Am I Going?
With the Year of The Snake coming to a close on February 16th I am reflecting on where I have been which poses the question also of where am I going? The year of The Horse looms, the saddle is ready and the path lit, but first, we must bathe in all that we have been through this past year and allow ourselves to float in all that we experienced as we awaken to who we are and who we came here to be.
But first, let us dwell on snake energy and what it means, no not a physical snake but rather what it symbolises and how we can embody that energy before moving onto the year of the horse. The physical shedding of snakes skin symbolises the life-death-rebirth cycle. Snake bites are painful, snake bites are poisonous, snake bites can be deadly. If you look back on your experiences and challenges over the last year think of the lessons that were painful, even poisonous, how can you integrate those energies into tools you can use going forward, tools that can propel you into transformation that calls from the energy of the year of the horse.
The lessons we come to learn were lovingly chosen by our higher selves, before we came into this life we created certain life lessons, big and small for us to experience so that our soul can grow. However, how we deal with those lessons is an open ended book, like those stories where you can choose a different ending. That is the part that challenges us, we want the answers, we want to know how it will turn out, but only you have those answers and by how you react and embody the experiences and challenges you face you write the own outcome of each life lesson you experience, no matter how significant or unsignificant, all those energies come together to shape who you are, who you came here to be and who you are transforming into.
Snake medicine shows us that everything we experience on a physical and soul level is connected and that we are universal beings connected to a greater whole and everything we experience and evolve into supports the whole. Through accepting all those energies that we have experienced and integrating into our being we can bring about the action of transmutation and fire energy that goes hand in hand with snake energy. Let us look back at the past year and all the challenges or lessons we lived through and then feel into how did those energies bring about passion and desire which then led us to ambition, creation, resolution, and dreams which then leads to intellect, power, leadership in our own lives. As you go through the cycle of this transmutation you then take all of those energies on a soul level that will lead you to the wisdom and understanding of all of those occurrences in your physical life, thus writing your own story outcome of each lesson. Pretty good hey, we are such magical beings and snake energy might seem heavy but there lies magic in the acceptance and transformation, the surrender of that we have to experience and embody to then evolve and grow on a soul level, pure magic that is no more than a change in consciousness, it is yours to own and embody.

Next let us explore horse energy and what it means. Horse has been a long companion of mankind, where will we be without horse? It would have been a very slow evolution for mankind if not for horse and we must honour and respect horse for allowing us to mount its sturdy back to carry us forward in leaps and bounds. Horse energy reminds us that we have free will, that all we need to do is get in the saddle, look for a clearing and bound into the unknown with a brave heart, carrying with us the vision of that we most desire to bring into reality. Horse reminds us also that we are not alone, the universe will conspire to support us in our endeavours to bring about that that is for our highest good. The journey may sometimes be slow, and sometimes we will feel that we are propelled into our future at great speed. Horse can be playful, allowing us to stop and frolic, calling in the joy as you ride into the winds of the unknown. Horse may lead you to paths unknown, riding on horses back will sometimes allow you to learn the power of entering the darkness, your own shadows to then find the light. Allow horse energy to take you on a brave adventure, carry you forward with freedom, reminding us that we are beings with free will and we have the power to make choices that will affect our lives in the best way possible. Surrender to the energy of horse, the journey you are on, the lessons you still have to embody. There is also the acceptance of what is playing out around us, we may not understand it or make sense of it as humanity itself is called forward with horse energy looming. What have we been shedding as a whole? Now what is there room for and where will we be heading as a collective? Whatever your individual journey and the collective journey brings know that horse energy is there to carry you safely, with companionship and support from your loved ones, your guides, the universe. Close your eyes and imagine now seeing your horse, ready to carry you forth, see the path ahead lit up and all of the support that will carry you forward. Transformation is calling us forward with horse energy, will we be brave enough to saddle up and surrender to the journey ahead? For we can only move forward if we each surrender to our own journeys which then becomes a beautiful forward motion of the whole of humanity.

In closing then allow yourself to float in the sea of all that you have lived through this last year, surrender to the lessons, ask for those energies to be transmuted into tools that you will need on the journey ahead. Strap in for the brave journey ahead and surrender to the highs and lows of the adventure that awaits you as an individual but also surrender to that what lies ahead for humanity.
Remember the wondrous being that you are, carry with you the light of your soul in your heart, look for the clearing and bound to freedom knowing that transformation is calling you forward, enjoy the ride and have fun!
